Original design hand-cut paper sculptures. I cut each piece out individually by hand with an art knife and shape it using folding, scoring, and curling techniques to give depth . The outline of each piece and all of the segments are cut freehand with no sketches, so each is free-flowing and unique.
The sculpture cuttings are cut from linen paper or light watercolor paper and the leaves are backed with a floated miniature watercolor painting mounted on white board.
These pieces are double-matted with neutral colored mats (whites and creams), the mats are spaced with foam board to give depth to the piece, and frames are a deep shadowbox-style black metal 5"x 7" external dimensions.
