I hand-carve each of my wood pieces individually using knives and gouges. These ornaments are carved from Cypress knees and tips. They are left unsanded to maintain the carved details of the expression, the hair, and the beard.
The small and medium carvings are natural finish and the large piece is finished with a spray varnish for protection. All of them have black and white paint for the eyes to make the faces come alive. Since each piece is carved individually and uses the natural curves, bumps, and shapes of the cypress knee, no two will be identical. The piece you receive may differ slightly from the photos, all measurements are approximate.
Small: 4-5.5" tall, base is 1-1.5" by 1.5-2.5"
Medium: 6" tall, base is 2" by 4"
Large: 17" tall, base is 2" by 3"
These pieces make fantastic small gifts, Christmas decorations, ornaments, shelf or mantel decorations, or keychains. They come with no hardware by default, but if you would like a screw-eye put into the top for hanging, please contact me or make a note in your checkout and I will be glad to do that for you.
